Do you have a favorite quote or saying? Words that inspire you or make you think or feel differently?
I have quite a few. And when my company moved into larger offices last fall, I knew I wanted to incorporate some motivational ideas into my office décor. So did my staff. The problem was, we couldn’t choose just one.
So we didn’t! Throughout our new office there are many words of wisdom on our walls. They are constant reminders of the thoughts and actions we want to focus on to achieve our personal and professional goals
Personally, I believe that whether you focus on a positive messages briefly, or the message is perceived subconsciously through the background of your surroundings, your brain will respond positively, over time.
It’s the power of repetitive messaging, and the world of advertising has known about it for years. In fact, According to Ad Savvy, one of the pillar strategies of marketing and branding is repetition. This is because repetition creates awareness, and memory is strengthened through repetition.
What are the personal objectives that you want to be reminded of on a daily basis? Have you found quotations that resonate with your innermost motivation?
Here are some ways to find the words that ring true to you…
Think about WHO inspires you?
Perhaps an accomplished entrepreneur, philosopher, celebrity or author has written or spoken about something profound or moving. Steve Jobs is my favorite for go-to quotables. But Dr. Suesse may be more your speed. Whatever works for you…
Think about WHAT inspires you?
Sports? Music? From famed locker room pep talks to unforgettable lyrics, there’s a trove of treasured quotes to help you stay on track.
Think about WHERE you go to be inspired?
Do you have a happy place? The mountains? The beach? Or some other far off place? Images such as trees, waves or stars may speak to you and be a source of inspiration. Why not incorporate them into your motivational wall art?
